Well, this week was a fairly nice and easy week, because it was our first break from school. We work on a 6 weeks on 1 week off schedule, so it was finally time. I can safely say we were all ready for it, but my kids have worked hard this year, and have done a great job in their work so far. Ethan is working on learning his times tables, (okay, so is Issac. Rach mostly has hers down. YAY!) Lucas is still working on his handwriting and letters, and Rach is doing things in Math in 8th grade that I remember doing somewhat, but don’t remember how to do. We can learn together. Homeschooling rules!
Monday, I got a MacBook. Not a new one, but still. It’s so awesome. I’ve been wanting to try a Mac for a long time now. I had never used one before, and was worried it would be difficult to switch from a PC, but really, it hasn’t been at all. The biggest change for me is learning new keyboard shortcuts. The kids are forbidden to use it. After all, we do have 3 other laptops, plus my tablet, that they can play on. We also have a Windows Vista desktop that I’m planning to wipe and install ubuntu. Anyway, I am bartering babysitting services for the Mac, so it works out nicely. I get to snuggle babies for a few hours a day, and my kids also love having the babies here.
That’s all for now. Thanks for stopping by!
