What is a Surprise Meal? I’ll tell you.
How many nights have you been stumped with what to make for supper, or just want to try something new? So, you look at the ingredients that you have, figure out what will hopefully mesh, and decide how to put it all together. Will it be tasty, or a major fail? Well, a Surprise Meal is a win, because it tastes great! Hopefully you remember everything you you added to the pot, so you can make it again in the future. Last night, I made a Surprise Meal, and it was wonderful! I’ll post my recipe below, and if you have a Surprise Meal of your own, please feel free to link up as well!
Tater Tot Taco Surprise
1 Pound of Ground Beef
Frozen Tater Tots
1 Cup Frozen Roasted Southwestern Corn
1 Cup Shredded Cheese
2 Tsp Taco Seasoning
Salt to Taste
Preheat your oven to 425, or whatever temp your tater tots say to bake them at. Brown the meat, and drain any excess grease. Grab a casserole dish, and evenly cover the bottom with the corn. Mix in the beef. Sprinkle half of the cheese on top, then cover with as many tater tots as you want. Sprinkle taco seasoning over the tots. Bake for amount of time needed to cook tots thoroughly. Turn off the oven, and sprinkle the remaining cheese over the tots, leaving the dish in for about 5 minutes more,, or until the cheese is melted.
Looks great to me!
No complaints from anyone. Everyone who tried it loved it, and the best part is that it was so easy to make!
