Well, sort of. I get to pick up what I ordered from the farmer’s market that runs through the Winter. I love being able to go online to order what I need and not have to walk around freezing my booty off. I just go pick it up and pay for it! This week I ordered a quart of honey, a dozen and a half of eggs, a dozen Bantam eggs, and some chile powder. I mostly got the Bantam eggs for the kids to see, but of course they’ll get eaten. They’ll be good in a salad or something.
Speaking of salad, I had a salad with my supper last night, and was actually able to get my 3 year old son to eat some! Go me! Also, speaking of pizza, last night’s pizza was made with fresh ground flour! I finally ran out of store bought bread flour, so now I’m actually grinding all our bread flour. I do still have some self-rising flour left to go through. The last time I tried to make pizza with all fresh ground flour, the dough just sort of broke apart after it had risen and I went to shape it. Yesterday at the store, I bought some vital wheat gluten to see if that helped, and I guess it did, because I only had my normal dough stretching issues trying too shape that dough. I’m not one for patience, I like to try and get it done quick! My husband said it was very good pizza, so that makes me happy! Here’s a picture of the cheesy goodness. I always make 1 cheese and 1 pepperoni pizza.
What do you think?
I’m gonna try and make it to the bulk store today or tomorrow. We’re almost out of couscous, and I want to get some rye grains and some spices to try. Luckily, this pay period I’m good on meat so I don’t have to buy any!
Happy Hump Day!
