Learning multiplication facts has been a bit of a struggle for us. It was a struggle for me to learn in school but it did eventually click. We were given an opportunity to review Times Alive from Times Tables the Fun Way. This product and company are new to us, and I love trying out new-to-us products. Times Alive is an online digital product that contains online lessons with animated songs and stories to learn times tables the fun way. We were given a 3-month subscription for this review. One of the first things I want to talk about is something I don’t remember from my previous memberships with SchoolhouseTeachers.com is the 3 emails I received from them after my membership was instated. In two weeks’ time, I was sent emails loosely titled “Getting the Most Out of Your Membership.” Each email is a short, easy-to-read, yet very informative tutorial of the various tabs on the site. I’ll go over a few of those here today.
I love reading the Bible, and I love finding new Bibles with an extra something-something. I have a Bible I love that is specifically for homeschool moms, but I’ve been looking for a study Bible for a while. Enter the NIV Spiritual Renewal Study Bible from Zondervan- it received the 1999 ECPA Gold Medallion Award. The Christian Book Award is an annual award given by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association to honor Christian content in several categories, including Bibles, Children, Inspiration, and Bible Reference.
I was recently asked to try a product that I had never heard of before, but I knew would be fantastic to use with children! Children love to draw and paint, but like most parents, I really detest the mess that painting usually makes, especially with younger children. I received a 12-pack of Kwik Stix to try with my kiddos.
Crossway was founded as a nonprofit organization in 1938, and their goal is to offer Christ-centered products to honor our Savior. My husband typically reads the KJV Bible, but ESV is my preference. I figured he could at least give this one a try.
I’m kind of a planner collector. I don’t have as many as a few people that I know, but I have several. I like to try them out to see how they work for me. Sometimes they do, and sometimes they don’t. It really depends on the features. I was recently sent The Ultimate Homeschool Planner – Yellow Cover to review from Apologia Educational Ministries. I knew that Apologia offered lots of homeschool products, but I didn’t know about the planner!
